“Do you have a couple of bucks I could borrow? I’ve got this damn landlord.”

*Marvel apparently pulled this…so here’s the trailer for Lynch’s Inland Empire, instead. In clinical studies, watching this movie has been shown to increase GMAT scores by an average of 79 points.*

First deleted scene from The Avengers blu-ray, out September 25th, has hit youtube. It features more of Harry Dean Stanton as a security guard interacting with Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, probably my favorite bit from the movie.

If Wheedon had just gotten Stanton to ask the Hulk for a couple bucks, Avengers would easily have moved past Moonrise Kingdom and Safe to be the 2nd best movie of the year (so far.) #InlandEmpire #DavidLynchisJesus

No other film has ever inspired the kind of fear in me that Inland Empire has, and from me that’s a compliment.

It would be interesting to see some Lynch-inspired cosplay on this site, since he seems to be a favorite around here (and definitely one of mine), though I expect it would be equal parts sexy and disturbing.

That’s the best suggestion i’ve ever gotten.

I’ve been working on a stillsuit…but God, when you open it up to all Lynch, the possibilities are nosebleed inducing:

The Lady in the Radiator
Audrey Horne
The Black Lodge
Audrey Horne in The Black Lodge
the thing living behind Winkie’s
what Slave Leia and the other dancing girls might’ve looked like if Lynch had directed Return of the Jedi
Bene Gesserits on a trampoline
Frank Booth crossplay
blue rose Lil

i will get at least a couple of those done, if it’s the last thing i do…

You could do a Mulholland Drive cosplay where you have a blonde girl do “Betty” and then a second girl cosplaying as the first girl for “Rita” (i.e. Rita’s “disguise” where she starts to look suspiciously like Betty).

Twin Peaks cosplay seems like it would be tough because the costumes aren’t often very distinctive, but that could be overcome with setting and props (a knotted cherry stem, perhaps?). The Black Lodge is a very distinctive location, too.

An attempt at sexy “Rabbits” cosplay would also be hilarious.
