Natalie Portman has been persistently and consistently rumored to be a contender for the role of Catwoman in the sequel to The Dark Knight, but she may actually be appearing in director Christopher Nolan’s non-Batman, science fiction-y follow-up Inception. That’s what I heard last night, anyway.
Not much is known about Inception, aside from the fact that Nolan wrote it, and it’ll shoot this year for a 2010 release. Portman looked amazing in purple at the oscars, and if being cast in Inception means she won’t be playing Catwoman, then I’ll be sad.

Semi-related: I really do like this upcoming DC Direct Ame-Comi Catwoman statue…even if they did make Selina Kyle look inexplicably Asian.

One Response to “Natalie Portman in Inception, not Catwoman?”
well from what i’ve been hearing, the sequel to dark knight is not to have catwoman! i believe nolan last said that a love interest is too early! beside that if a love life is to be brought in to this new series what about viki vale? who you know has to be in this series, after it all it was created by bob kane himself! and from what i understand and have been told rumor is that johnny depp is playing one of my favorite dark knight villians, ed nigma aka the riddler! – im just glad that christian bale said he’ll never play batman if they introduce robin to the series, being that the dark knight should never be a baby-sitter! HORRAY!!!
