2 years ago (the tuesday before Thanksgiving, 2008), The Shield came to an end. Meaning that as of last night, Vic Mackey is 2/3rds of the way through his contractually obligated 3 year deskjob/personal Purgatory at the department of I.C.E., after which he walks with complete immunity for a vast array of felonies, including killing a cop, and other murders. And given the state of the job market and economy over these last 2 years, makes you wonder if Sean Ryan’s attempt to punish his most perfect creation might’ve backfired a bit.
Read an interview somewhere recently, where director D.J. Caruso definitely seemed to be leaving the door open for a Shield movie. God i hope so…until then, i’ll keep watching No Ordinary Family, waiting for guest appearances by Walton Goggins, Kenny Johnson, and Jay Karnes.
