First poster and trailer released today for the movie i’m most anticipating out of the remainder of 2010, Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan. That’s an incredibly striking image they’ve chosen for the one sheet, and i can’t fucking wait to steal one from my local cinema (and if they produce a gigantic vinyl banner or cardboard standee version, i guarantee i’ll be stealing those too…would go wonderfully on a wall opposite the gaffled vinyl banner of a blue makeup wearing Anthony Hopkins from Julie Taymor’s brilliant Titus.)
The trailer is astoundingly dope, too. Definitely evocative of the great Perfect Blue, with a bit of a Lynch-ian feel. Probably futile, but i’m hoping Hot Toys picks up the license for this, as i’d kill to have an articulated ballerina figure…even better if she looks like an airbrushed Natalie Portman.

This is probably as close as we’ll get to a live-action White Violin for the foreseeable future (thanks Scott Pilgrim. You fuckhead.)

And there’s the money shot. Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman about to make out. If that doesn’t bring out audiences, then i suppose i’ll join the democrats in hating America. In the meantime, going to watch my blu-ray of Aronofsky’s wildly under-appreciated masterwork The Fountain.

I dated some dancers back in college. It was a lot like what was shown in that trailer.
