Yeah, the Boondocks is way funnier…

I’m not really a fan of the big nerd aggregator / geek lifestyle sites. Sites that try to be a one-stop, everything to all, in the interest of attracting the broadest possible audience. Yeah, i envy their traffic, but it’s much more than that. These sites feel reductive, and awfully presumptive, as if everyone with genre interests is supposed to have the same Pavlovian reactions to shit like Guillermo del Toro, J.J. Abrams, Venture Bros., Joss Whedon and Edgar Wright. Fuck that, i’d rather hit a dozen, smaller, niche sites with content actually relevant to me…but i suppose not everyone has that kind of time to waste. I got sent this link awhile ago, but just got around to checking it (i suck.) It’s perhaps the best thing i’ve read all year; utterly redemptive in every possible way…

It gets better from there. It’s almost like seeing them booed at SDCC 2008, all over again! Read through that long string of predominantly hateful comments reacting to a list-centric article on Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!…it’s fucking glorious. Any concerns i may have harbored over Tim and Eric going too mainstream wash away, at least for now, while suspicions of people who really enjoy reading stupid fucking lists are simultaneously affirmed. Everything is right in the world, God bless…and if they ever do a Xavier: Renegade Angel list please send it to me!

2 Crank movies
2 seasons of Xavier: Renegade Angel
2 Tim Burton Batman movies
2 seasons of Carnivale
2 seasons of Flight of the Conchords
2 seasons of Twin Peaks
2 terms of George W. Bush
2 seasons of Wonder Showzen
2 Daniel Craig James Bond movies
2 seasons of Big O

starting to wonder if maybe some things are just too fucking dope to go beyond 2…
