New supervillainess cosplay: Poison Ivy (1 of 3)

About a year ago, we did a Poison Ivy cosplay set based on her appearance in the (then upcoming) Batman: Arkham Asylum video game by Eidos. Earlier this summer we took another shot at it, with mixed results. This really should have been shot by someone who knew what they were doing…it’s been a long, arduous process to figure out that we need a real photographer. New shoots coming up will be in more capable hands, but i do still like some of these.

The Arkham Asylum sequel Batman: Arkham City is due out in the fourth quarter of 2011 (likely around Thanksgiving), and promises even darker themes with new characters including Two-Face, Black Mask, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul. No official word on whether Poisin Ivy returns, but it would be spectacular to have all the key Bat supervillainesses together in one game.

I can already hear the “Where’s the fucking nudity?!” comments. Well, this is the first of three sets (shot alot, and different variations), and it gets progressively more risque. Kind of like burlesque, except it actually pays off and sucks less.

Don’t judge me for trying to build up some anticipation, here…it’s called show business, not show give all the good shit away right off the bat.

This actually involved over an hour of airbrushing…and can you tell? Probably not. *hangs head in shame.* We’ll try it again soon, along with a significantly improved take on Harley Quinn.

It actually does get better from here. Thanks to Virginia, for putting up with the makeup, and making it look good.
