Wonder Woman is a Star Sapphire, Lex Luthor has a power ring: all is right in world

Star Sapphire Wonder Woman Orange Lantern Corps Lex Luthor

I’ve been enjoying the hell out DC’s Blackest Night event crossover event, even if the characters i was dying to see recruited had remained ringless, 6 months in. That all changed today, with the release of Blackest Night #6, which saw Lex Luthor (!!) sporting a power suit construct generated by an avarice-powered Orange Lantern Corps ring, Scarecrow finally drafted into the fear-fueled Sinestro Corps, and Wonder Woman in a hybrid fusion of her costume and the skimpy uniform of the Star Sapphires (!!!)

Also appearing in the image above are an Indigo Corps-conscripted Atom, Red Lantern Mera, and Barry Allen, in a Blue Lantern Corps variation of his Flash costume. For the love of Christ, I hope either DC Direct or Mattel turn out action figures of Lex and Diana in their respective new outfits, to go with the Black Lantern zombie Batman i can’t wait to buy.

I disagree with you. Wonder Woman as the trinity should stay as wonder woman (well, knowing that donna troy took her place is kinda logical i guess).

I mean it’s like lowering a godess to a level of supporting character!!

yeah, and it does appear that these are all just temporary changes…but with the new elseworlds/parallel universe titles dc is trying, this is the kind of stuff i’d love for them to explore.

I get that giving Batman or Lex a power ring (which they absolutely deserve) may be too radical of a change for the DC universe proper…so why not try an elseworlds series where they are the GLs of Earth. Or Wonder Woman and the Amazons take over the violet lantern corps. Those are all books i’d buy.
