So there’s a new UK E4 series about superhumans that by all accounts and appearances is pretty fucking sweet. Last night, the second episode of Misfits aired across the pond, and torrents were up pretty quickly, but with signficantly less seeders than the average Doctor Who or Torchwood ep, the downloading is substantially slower.
BBC describes Misfits as “superheroes with Asbos“, which is great if you know what an ASBO is. Imagine a fusion of Sucker Punch Productions’ inFamous and Heroes, only better and darker than both…or maybe Unbreakable crossed with Trainspotting. 5 teens emerge from a freak electrical storm with unique powers, evocative of their personalities. I am tempted to invoke a Grant Morrison Doom Patrol comparison, but i’m only one episode in, and that may be premature…but so far, it’s kind of a brilliant show.
The pilot is up on youtube, here’s the first of 5 parts. Watch it, see if it does anything for you, and if it does, just start torrenting. And seeding. The more the better. New episodes every Thursday night, torrents up by 9 or 10 los angeles time.
